Hi all
Hoping to get your opinions on an issue we've come across. We are almost at PCI however we have an issue with our flooring.
We paid to upgrade our flooring to bamboo, the sample we chose from read "antique bronze, bamboo". Now after the flooring has been installed we see it seems to have a wavy feature running all through it. We compared it to pics we took of the sample and could not see any of the waviness in our photos. Upon contacting our client liaison officer we were advised that the reason it looks wavy is because it is hand scraped bamboo and the waviness is a feature of the product as opposed to ordinary smooth bamboo. When we highlighted that the sample didn't reflect this we were told our picture was taken in "poor light". The thing is our picture was taken where the flooring selections are done and so that what we were basing our selection on.
Anyhow the site supervisor took the sample out to our house to compare it to our installed floor and of course in more light you can see some waves in the sample but not as much as on our floor.
At no point during our colour selection were we advised it was hand scraped bamboo nor is this indicated in our contract or selection docs.
Looking for some feedback on where you think we stand with pushing the issue. From my perspective I either want it replaced with smooth bamboo or removed and we arrange ourselves post handover.....
Thoughts?
Thanks
