Very very happy with it. Pics can be seen in my build thread. Not the best pics as the floors are still a bit dusty but yeah. Re: I work at Carpet Court - do you have a flooring question 205May 14, 2015 9:24 pm mwccl Hi Michelle, I was leaning towards the Karndean brand for vinyl planks. However, I gave Carpet Call a call today inquiring about Karndean and they say they no longer do that brand cause they are not honoring their warranty. So they stopped dealing with Karndean. Have you experienced similar issues with Carpet Court? What brands of Vinyl planks do you recommend? Cheers! This is very tricky! So far we have found Karndean good to deal with....and this has been many years I must say. I've been selling Karndean and suggesting Karndean in my business for over 13 years. It really comes back to the store, and how far they will push for the warranties. We had a very tricky situation with a full house. Taken care care of, and everyone happy. If you are building, you need to tell your builder to keep the areas you are planning to use any GLUE on, CLEAN! No crap from the tradies to be dumped onto the slab. It all comes back to a clean surface and good preparation on the surface. We have had two rooms damaged with the recent storms, so some of it is going to be replaced under our insurance policy. The rest we will pay for ourselves. My wife and I like the Ardour range of carpet. Apart from the vacuum cleaner, is there anything else we should take into consideration. The carpet would be going onto stairs. Which underlay works well with it. We are looking at 120m2 of carpet all up if we do the whole area, just for the upstairs area of the house. Any insight you can offer into this carpet would be great. Regards Graham and Kathy Owners of 2.5 acres of Paradise.......now working towards the house! Re: I work at Carpet Court - do you have a flooring question 207May 18, 2015 6:19 pm Hi Grakat, the Ardour range has been popular other than the vacuuming no other complaints. It's a high pile, so on the stairs you would need to vacuum more to keep the pile up. It is stair rated, but will still need more vacuuming, and that goes for any high pile carpet, not just this one. The underlay you get with this carpet will be fine, but I always suggest to go up a grade on the stairs if budget allows. Originally we were having bamboo throughout whole house but want to do something a bit different.... A few questions: 1. Other than timber hardwood flooring what timber look flooring would be best for bedrooms whilst not clashing with the concrete. I do not need to match just not clash. I have 4 kids as well. We hope to go for a scandinavian, soft industrual, contemporary look throughout the house. 2. We also want to do a few feature timber look walls to try and soften the concrete in the living areas. What do you recommend using on the walls that is cost effective? Actual flooring or say a timber look wallpaper? Thanks Michelle Re: I work at Carpet Court - do you have a flooring question 209May 30, 2015 7:24 pm EmmaW84 Hi Michelle, We are having honed concrete floors in our new home. What sort of price range would we be looking at for install including levelling/ardit per sqm? Cheers Re: I work at Carpet Court - do you have a flooring question 217Jun 04, 2015 12:33 am Hey Michelle we laid Karndean 'marble' vinyl 'tiles' with 'grout' and a decorative inlaid border about 15 years ago. Still look great and we've had two big boofy dogs on them. Great looking, well-wearing product. Re: I work at Carpet Court - do you have a flooring question 218Jun 06, 2015 11:53 pm Hi Michelle, We were looking at carpet today and we're in carpet court. Spur of the moment we put down a deposit on the Provincial Lane Premier Soft, we included the 11mm air step underlay, and I'm not sure which one. I'm a bit worried we decided too soon, and don't have the best underlay. Is air step comparable to the Dunlop underlay ? I hope we decided well with the carpet too !!! Do have any pictures with these flooring? I also need help with carpet selections. We are currently looking for a loop pile in wool or wool blend. I currently like the Hycraft - Valley Gorge in Rift.
