We are trying to decide between readyflor and Boral silkwood. Currently we can get the natural grade (i.e. the one with imperfections) 133mm wide by 2.4m long silkwood engineered floorboards for $40/m, on clearance as Boral has dropped this line.
Is this a good deal?
Is the product recommended?
Looking through the forum history there is reference to a thread by Phoenixs where they were not happy with the surface coating, but I don't seem to have the ability to access the thread anymore.
We had a look at the boards and it seemed like more than 50% per pack would have holes approx 5 - 10 cm long filled with resin.
The installed cost for Boral silkwood will be about $100 sqm, whereas readyflor red gum will come up to about $150 per sqm, so it's a big saving if it is a durable and trustworthy product.
