HWD battens (usually 65x19 decking) you can get for about $1.60 per metre and must be laid at 450mm centres. Ply flooring is about $55 per sheet from memory for 17mm, you could get pallet grade (for under carpets) for about $40 per sheet. You would have to talk to an installer about labour. Sanding and polishing is about $25-$30 per square metre. Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 11502 If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify… 9 6282 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 3662 |
