Hi! Just wanted to share my experience with flooring, because I've seen the topic come up a bit and finally I feel like I have something to offer the forum lol.
We brought Allure click lock vinyl flooring from HN last year and are finally at the stage of renos that we can put them down. The only thing is, hubby is away at the moment and I'm all on my lonesome, and have never done any form of flooring before. Though neither has hubby, so him not being here probably didnt have too much of an effect lol. I had my brother (expert rennovator) come over and talk me through it in case I hadnt thought of something, because I thought it seemed too easy.
...nope, it actually was that easy! This kind of flooring doesnt need an underlay, so its literally just a matter of lining them up and clicking them in place. When they needed to be cut, all I had to do was score it with a stanley knife and bend it to snap the line. Worked perfectly every time! I'm impressed. And pretty chuffed with myself too
