Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Oct 17, 2013 10:33 am Michelle - or anyone else with advice on this conundrum ... We selected our new wool carpet based on taking a sample home from the retailer and viewing it in the rooms (bedrooms & hallway) during day and night lighting. We settled on a colour that would complement the walls. Unfortunately what has been laid is a substantially lighter colour and reads 'pink' particularly under lights. We went back to the retailer and brought home the sample we selected, took pics and then took an offcut back to the retailer who agreed there was a difference. It seems the manufacturer has changed the recipe for the colour, and the sample we selected from was 8 years old (they received the new sample this week). We're not happy with the new colour and are in the process of seeking alternatives from both the retailer and manufacturer. Apparently other customers are similarly affected. I've researched some "last resort" options such as the Carpet Industry Arbitration Service and NSW Fair Trading but thought I'd seek thoughts from this forum. I'm keeping an open dialogue with both the retailer and manufacturer ... are there any precedents out there??? Thanks! I had new concrete laid, extended the alfresco and had the sidewalks concreted too. I noticed the concreter didn't put the expansion foam anywhere, there are expansion… 0 8117 We are building a second dwelling and are currently selecting window and door frames.
