Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering Re: Hard wearing carpet? 2Sep 11, 2013 4:28 pm When you mean hard wearing do you mean standard family or extreme use? I always notice hospitals use carpet tiles. Because if a section gets really hammered they can just replace that section. We recently bought carpet and found the experience to be quite frustrating. The industry gives its self no credibility by all using different ways to quantify the quality of their carpets. When comparing brands you need to pretty much hold two samples side by side to get a good comparison and they all rubbish each others product. But I guess rule of thumb is that if it is high nylon content with a short nap it will be hard wearing. Re: Hard wearing carpet? 4Sep 18, 2013 2:03 am Over my many years of carpet cleaning I would say that a sisal loop pile carpet is a good hard wearing carpet to have in a home. When protected properly with a good scotch-guard it will have great stain resistance. Unfortunately they might not be the cheapest carpet though. 5 10405 1 10962 1 15693 |
