At Christmas I had a client walk grease in on my carpet while visiting me. (in photo!)
I’m yet to get it cleaned, as I also want to get the house carpet cleaned and I’m waiting for tradesmen to be finished before I do this.
Before photo with grease, then I will post after photo when it is cleaned to see how well it comes up.

Ok this carpet is a combination twist and cut and loop, 100% nylon.
As performance goes this carpet is great! Why? Because of the structure of the carpet,
“combination twist and cut and loop” The pattern you see in the carpet is the loop pile, this makes the twist stand up and stay upright.
A …. As well call it in the industry “structured carpet” pattern like this is hard wearing.
The best way to tell if a carpet is hard wearing and of good quality, is to fold the corner of the sample of carpet over!
If you see a lot of the backing of the carpet and it is quite sparse, then the carpet is NOT hard wearing! If you see only a very small section of the backing, or better still NONE, then this is a very hardwearing good quality carpet! Meaning it is thick in pile.
The thicker the pile……(close together)……the better the carpet!
Below is a demonstration photo for you, I have rolled the carpet corner over on 2 pieces of carpet I have in my office. 1 being 100% nylon, the other is 100% wool. Both these carpets are top quality because you can’t see any backing through the fibres at all!
