We recently had our engineered spotted gum direct stick to slab in our build.
We have just had a good walk through the house and notice there are a couple of areas that sound different when you walk on them and a definite noticeable "give", almost spongey. It is only slight but definitely noticeable.
On knocking these areas with our hands, it sounds hollow. Whereas knocking on the other areas sounds dense and solid as a rock.
Am wondering if this is a laying fault or if this is generally acceptable in small areas?
