On the inside of carpet rolls it is not uncommon to get a pole mark - where the end of the carpet and the first run around the core overlap. This in usually 200-300mm from the end and normally comes out after a few days. The mark on the picture was further into the roll. I have seen faults where the tufting machine has faltered/hiccuped/stopped that looked like joins. Even a join in the jute backing will show through the top of the carpet. It was HF123 ... a stop line! This is apparently where the machine pauses in one spot for a moment too long and creates an uneven line in the threading. It is not uncommon and usually is not as noticable....
