We spend a lot of extra $$ paying for polished porcelain (600 x 300) tiles. There are areas that are uneven and the grout is quite deep also... Now as its such a large area my hubby wants me to just live with it (and granted we are in fully furnished with new baby so it probably is too difficult) but I need to know.... What is the standard/tolerance for the surface of the tiles (I've had it mentioned a couple of mm eg a credit card and that there is none in it should be flat with no discrepancy)?? And what should the grout level be depth of grout between tiles) given that they are rectified edge i.e.should it still have a depth or should the grout but flush with the tile (which is what I think but not what we have)? i inspect..there is no construction tolerance or building tolerances.
