Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Dec 09, 2012 4:14 pm Wondering if anyone has had Big River Timbers pre finished engineered timber floors installed and can give any advice or feedback? We decided to go through our builder for flooring and chose the above in Spotted Gum. They had a flooring package on at the time we signed up for the build so we got a credit back for tiles and will obviously be paying extra for the timber. This was mainly for convience. However now we are starting to realise for the same price we could have solid timber floors sanded and polished plus upgraded skirting boards to the whole house for about the same price we are paying the builder for our engineered pre finished floor. We have struggled to find much feedback on these floors by searching the web. There are a couple of posts on another forum from people not so impressed with the pre finished board - raised grain etc.. Thought we would ask on here first before investigating this further and see if anyone could shed some light on this product. Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Were getting it installed in about 4 weeks, how did yours turn out? I have asked on a different forum for some feedback and have got some really positive comments. You will definitely have to let me know how yours turns out!! Are you getting the pre finished boards or are you having them finished once laid? Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes.
