Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Mar 30, 2008 12:33 pm Hi guys,
I'm onto carpet now I have chosen spotted gum timber flooring for alot of the house and plan on having 80/20 twist pile carpet to the formal living, all bedrooms, upstairs living and study (which will not get alot of use) I like the sound of Godrey Hirst carpets and have been checking out their carpets online but I can't seem to get a colour range off their site..do they have one online? I'm after a mid-dark grey colour.... Also I'm hoping someone (Ash??) might be able to help me...I saw in a few display homes carpets which were plain in colour but seemed to have a patern indented into them - the one I liked had little squares in it which were deeper than the rest of the carpet...I was thinking this might be good for the study and downstais living room, do you know which type of carpet this would be?? I hope that isn't too broad Thanks again Bel Re: Carpet :) 2Mar 30, 2008 2:53 pm Hi haywgl,
If you decide to go with this carpet or any carpet for that matter which has an obvious linear pattern/weave, please ensure you get the services of a reputable carpet layer. I've seen these kind of carpets laid pretty badly. Any linear pattern is VERY VERY unforgiving, if the carpet layer is not accurate ie crooked lines. Good luck. Ash. Re: Carpet :) 5Apr 02, 2008 7:59 pm Thanks Ash
Looking at that site I'm thinking Bedrooms/Upstairs living - Nylon/Wool blend in either Cut Pile twist or Cut PIle Plush AND Study/Downstairs living - Nylon/Wool blend in either Level Loop and Cut pile or High low loop Will probably make the best decision when I see/feel the carpets in real life 1 11004 1 15753 they can, it's a fairly standard solution when the slab isn't recessed. the falls need to be in the main floor, if it hasn't been done then you need to ask them to redo… 4 6584 |
