Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Aug 06, 2012 10:54 am originally we were looking at putting engineered timber boards in our house but my husband thinks for the near future we are better off putting in laminate as we plan to start a family in the next couple of years. so i'm starting afresh in my search for flooring, we originally wanted blackbutt and ive heard great things about quickstep colonial. we were also looking at the eligna range in natural varnished oak or armstrong boston tea. does anyone have experiences as to which they think is the better product? also if you know of any great deals in the melbourne area , let me know Our build with carter grange: http://bojarkus.blogspot.com.au/ Re: quickstep colonial/Eligna or armstrong flooring 2Aug 06, 2012 11:30 am Have a look at the Vintage product. It can still scratch, dent & is not indestructable, but its still better than timber. My opinion only, but I have seen both Quickstep Laminate & a reputable brand of Engineered Hardwood used commercially in a hotel/nightclub scenerio & the laminate made the hardwood look silly.
