Hi guys
We are planning on doing timber flooring to the majority of our downstairs (entry, stairs, kitchen/dining/living and rumpus) with the study and formal living being carpet.
I have looked at various timber floor colours and have narrowed it down to a few; Spotted Gum, Australian Beach and Stringybark.
I have searched these using the search forum and it appears Spotted gum has the best 'hardness' rating which is important for me with 2 small kiddies!!
I can't really seem to get a good colour of it laid in an area such as those I have mentioned above, most of the pictures I see are of it in small sections, has anyone who has laid this floor got a picture to share?
Also what do you think would be a reasonable price for such a product, a friend of mine got Australian Beach - Boral SIlkwood (looks gorgeous!!) fully installed with underlay for $120/m2 - I'm guessing I have about 100m2 to cover so that would work out around $12000
MetriKon - have a 'partnership' with Trueloc flooring and they have Spotted Gum available in the 2000 and 6000 series (no idea what the difference is) however I am sure this would be more expensive to get done through M than after handover...
Any help would be great guys
Cheers
Belinda
