However, we now consider to have bamboo floor there. Our builder need to us to confirm the actual floor finish height to the first floor. Someone generally suggested bamboo flooring is 15mm plus under-lay which come up to 17mm…But I’m not sure how thick bamboo floor is a good choice for us … What is good specification for bamboo flooring from your experience? A 12mm may be better than a 14mm, it depends on many factors that not even the people sellin it may be aware of. What brands and where are you looking at bamboo ? Try to stick to a brand name floor OR at least a brand name retailer to assure yourself of a good standard.
