Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jun 06, 2012 7:41 am I have some hardwood stairs. The second floor is currently carpeted, but we are planning to remove the carpet to put in bamboo. The bamboo comes in natural/carbon(kind of like coffee). The darker color is pretty close to the stairs, but we prefer the lighter colour. Do people generally try and match, or is it alright to go with a totally different colour? Here are the samples compared to the stairs. http://i.imgur.com/i2I3F.jpg New flooring, old stairs what is the standard practice? 2Jun 06, 2012 1:47 pm If it were me, I'd probably match it, but that's more to do with the fact that I prefer darker wood than the lighter wood. Can you perhaps go with the lighter colour and do some sort of border with the darker color to kind of tie it in with the stairs? Sent from my iPad Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. It's click lock bamboo, so not sure how we'd border. Interesting idea though. Actually, has anyone mixed natural and darker bamboo strips? We were considering this as an option too. you need a fridgie to answer but I would think you vac the whole system then add gas if you have a leak, unless it is new install with the gas already loaded, in that case… 1 3651 Hi all Am new to this forum.
