As namtrak above says although the timber could also be one of the lighter coloured hardwoods. A few other stains in there too possibly from a leaking fridge etc. You might be disappointed also that some of that stain probably goes into the timber quite deep meaning no matter how much you sand it that dark colouring may remain.
