Re: Show me your Bamboo floors! 12Apr 02, 2012 9:21 am Finally found some time to upload some pics!! We've just bought out solid wooden table (made from an old boat) as well as some white wishbone chairs and barstools - he place is finally starting to come together I'll be starting a 'Renovation' post soon and will upload all pics and what's been done/plans. Just to recap, this is ARC Bamboo in Brushed Mocha installed by Royal Timber Flooring. They don't stock ARC but I got them to get it in as they only supply Homemirus (Verdura) and OzBamboo. Verdura is the original and best Brown Sugar/Walnut series that all other suppliers have managed to copy (although fail to replicate exactly). We decided on the ARC Mocha as it was darker than Brown Sugar but lighter than Walnut. It looks so rich and classy but not too dark. Once the downlights are on or sun coming in, it gives an awesome timber look. Fantastic product and install, we're stoked to say the least!!! It may appear reddish in some pics, but it isn't.. must be the flash (it's a deep and rich brown) Re: Show me your Bamboo floors! 14Apr 03, 2012 9:41 am sco77k Looks amazing cenz! Did they install it floating on top of the tiles or glue it down? Do they creak at all? Thanks! Yeah, floating on tiles. They put down a black plastic sheet (kind've like garbage bag) for a moisture barrier, then they put a 3mm underlay which also has a moisture barrier (looks like foil). So the tiles, plus the plastic and 3mm underlay moisture barrier will hopefully knock out any issues ARC Bamboo is UNICLIC so it's well joint together and no creaking. There is however a slight sound of crackling from the foil in the underlay, but we were told that will disappear as we continue to walk over all areas of the laid floor. So, returning the favour, here are 2 pix of our Bamboo floor - Verdura Coffee - which may help others decide whether they like or dislike this particular look. (Very difficult to get correct colouring due to lighting, but these are very accurate. South facing window btw.) cheers Re: Show me your Bamboo floors! 19Oct 25, 2012 7:51 am Bamboo floors in the hallway of my current house. Now with bonus puppy. Personally, in my own house if I had to do it again and was looking at options, I'd get timber look tiles. Building a Delta 21 at Craigieburn - http://homeofzero.blogspot.com.au/ Deposit: 26/02. It's Embleton and the colour is Uluru. Absolutely love it, although I do admit they get quite smudgey, as people have mentioned above. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u509/kjw7/DDC05C7D-51A7-43B9-A6ED-1389F28BA1EA-2754-000004010507F22F.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u509/kjw7/31A7AAB9-CF62-4D3C-80D3-B55712389BDB-2754-00000400F56F225C.jpg http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u509/kjw7/4FF458E1-5F23-4152-A539-3723C1EE5754-818-0000020D45BD4AC9.jpg Kayla 2 4657 3 5579 Old Home Restoration / Renovation To reduce noise transfer without compromising the aesthetic of your exposed I beams, consider filling the 100mm gap between the I beams and the floor above with dense,… 6 9111 |
