Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Mar 14, 2012 10:56 pm We are trying to decide on which option to go for. We initially wanted Bamboo and then heard a few horror stories about it swelling and causing lots of problems. So we started steering toward black butt ( I like the colour ). Can anyone with experience give me good or bad feedback on the Bamboo. We are in a fairly small WA town so choices are limited. I am steering back toward bamboo because of the cost and I do like the look. I just need to hear some feedback ? And advice about where to buy Regards Caminbear Re: Bamboo V's Black Butt Floating Floor 2Mar 16, 2012 9:28 am Re the swelling problem. I think you will find that will happen with any type of wooden flooring if it gets wet and stays wet for a long enough period. We are looking at bamboo flooring and found this problem but that was listed quite some time ago before the strand woven type became the norm. If the blackbutt is solid if wet for long enough it will do exactly the same, probably more so if a laminate. But I'm not sure… 3 6114 The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18178 |
