You can buy the mats from Officeworks.. prices vary depending on the quality, and you can get ones for low, medium or high pile carpet. We spent just over $100, I think it was. Yes, there are 'spike holes' in the carpet when i lift the mat, but they vacuum out (i vacuum under the mat every time i do the office, which is at least once a week). If your flooring salesperson is doing their job properly you would likely purchase it with your new flooring & they should have something instock to show you. There is also different qualities & sizes available.
