Hi everyone (posted this in Finishing Touch as well, but maybe its more suited to this topic?),
We removed some old carpet from a straight flight of stairs (eight steps) which have mdf treads and pine risers. We'd like to paint them white, to match the skirtings, and get one of those carpet-runners that go on stairs.
Does anyone know the best sort of paint to use?
How are the carpet runners attatched, and where would we look for one?
The other option we were thinking of (which is probably more $$$) is to 'clad' the steps in laminate floor for a timber look. Does anyone know if it can be done?
Thanks,
Eimaj
