Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Dec 04, 2011 9:20 am Hi All, just interested in personal or professional opinions on these brands of laminate or any other mid-range brands ($25psm av.). Just made our first visit to a flooring centre yesterday, we've reached the end of our tether living with dogs and carpet...lol. We will be selecting a light-medium colour in a matte/grain finish for better stability for hairy feet. Have been quoted $15 psm for installation, plus $2psm for underlay if required and under $500 for complete removal of carpet and tiles to kitchen. These prices sound very reasonable to me? Didn't get a price on beading, but will definitely need it. Any advice/recommendations greatly appreciated Re: Laminate flooring- Egger or Floor Art 2Dec 15, 2011 7:57 pm Sounds super cheap, but you might get what you paid for. I would want nothing less than $25m2 for an installation plus trims to do a proper job. As for the economical laminate, it maybe ok, but we won't sell anything but Quickstep & in about 15 years of selling it, we have never had any drama's. A decent Quietstep type ulay which is about 30% quieter is about $5m2 -$8m2 Animals will still scratch laminate, so be carefull or maybe dont expect too much. Hello! I'm new to this forum and in need of some advice. Should I put an art piece on the blank wall and if so what should I put?
