I have been wondering what I should clean the timber with, the man installing the floor told me it's best to use a small amount of metho in water, however I have a Boral brochure on timber flooring & it says not to use metho as it will "degrade the coating & irreversably dull the floor" not sure which way to go? On my tiles I just use a bit of vinegar with warm water, is that a no-no on timber? I would have considered the capful of Metho in 5L of water a good method & its what we suggest to customers. I would have thought the Boral suggestion was for their Silkwood product which has a Polyurethane surface coating, not a tung oil.
