Starting the research on carpet & hoping you can give me a few pointers.
We are having quite a bit of carpet in our home, with Sydney Blue Gum floorboards in kitchen/dine & some passage ways with carpet in lounge part of open living, seperate lounge (kids room), 4 bedrooms, study & small amount of passage joining 3 bedrooms to main bathroom.
Went to carpet shop in local area (which doesn't have too much to look at) but have worked out I like the look of loop carpet rather than cut/twist pile.
Colourwise will probably be mid brown tones. Was having a look in Feltex Commercial site & quite like the look of Merito/Shadow Taupe. This carpet was called tufted loop pile - can you please explain what tufted loop pile is?
I think I will go 100% wool. Although we have young children I want something that is going to last & look good - we plan on being in this house for a very long time. Youngest is only 5 months old, so figure I won't want to replace for at least 20 years!!!
Want something that is good quality & durable. For consistancy throughout the home I would prefer to have the same carpet in all rooms, but not sure if this is practical.
Am I thinking along the right lines??
