Having found a volume builder that is happy to do polished concrete floors (and another H1er in my suburb is in the process of having polished floors, and the people who have seen the first grind are pretty impressed/pleased with the result), I am going for concrete floors.
Now I need to decide on the laundry and bathroom - polished concrete, or tiles? I currently have painted concrete in the bathroom and laundry in my house (house will be demolished), and Mum has terrazo in hers, which cope fine with water on the surface. But as far as I can tell, the gloss level is somewhat different between terrazo and polished concrete - what impact does this have on slipperyness? Am I better off for safety reasons going for tiled floors in the laundry/bathroom areas?
Pro's and cons, anyone?
