What flooring suits dark timer floorboards 2Aug 05, 2011 1:46 pm Hello there, We have timber floors in our living room (although not very dark), and as contrast, we put down light beige porcelain tiles for dining room. The dark to light, timber to shiny tile transition came out really well. You need to make sure the tiles and timber joins well and are level, you certainly don't want a step.
