Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jul 23, 2011 4:07 pm Hi, So I'm considering doing my own floor coverings, the builder has estimated a refund of all floor coverings which works out to a fairly small sum, but that's what I expected. The current plan so far is to buy vinyl planks to cover the main room, entrance, hallway, kitchen and laundry. As from what I've read it will have no issues with moisture. I think this will be relatively straightforward to organise. My current concern is what do I do about the bathroom, ensuite and toilet? All vinyl planks have a wood like look so it may look a little out of place in a bathroom/ensuite/toilet. So I'm considering maybe something like roll vinyl? I'm considering maintenance and price in this decision, and I think that vinyl will be easier to clean that tiles in the bathroom. Does anyone know anywhere that sells vinyl rolls in Melbourne at a good price? I assume Carpet Court? ***? Western Distributors? And if you have used vinyl in your bathroom/shower, what did you do about the wall coverings? The builder had included upto 2M of wall covering tiles for the shower.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Re: Doing your own floor coverings?
