Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jun 12, 2011 8:24 pm Hello all, I have floating timber floorsboard in my house. They are currently in a matte finish, we would like to recoat them in a nice high gloss. Can I simply apply a high gloss varnish style coating? Can anyone suggest a product? The only real option is something like a water based polyurethane (Bona) with a cross linker (a binding agent). It also depends on what the floor has been cleaned with, if it has been some wax like product (Gemini) etc then you could have all sorts of problems.
