I love Karndean, its long wearing, durable, softer under foot than hard flooring. Generally very easy to look after, if you do the right thing by the flooring. Re: Karndean vinyl planks and tiles 7May 03, 2011 7:07 pm This type of flooring is better in wet areas than timber, Bamboo, and any of the cliplock systems. They can take spillage and not have any problem at all. They will survive a leak or flood in the house But like all other products may not be too happy if they sit submerged in water for a long time. The glue may release, leaving your planks or tile to lift. When I say do the right thing, people need to remember this is a vinyl product, yes very hard wearing, but also needs to be treated with respect when it comes to sun light in a large windowed areas. Like all products I sell at Carpet Court, I tell customers to keep their blinds closed in the full sun, the sun can cause fading. Although I haven’t heard of too may cases with the Karndean flooring. IMO if your floor fades, you have not done the right thing. (you, as the consumer, not you Pattycake4) I have put Karndean in 2 commercial projects, neither of these clients have ever complained about their flooring as time has gone by. No Summer Oak in that range. There is a summer Oak in the Oak Royale, that range has been popular. We may have some laid on the floor, I wasn’t working there when they laid the display area. I have this photo though.
