We have been quoted $20/m $5/linear metre to tack the skirtings back on $5/linear metre of stained beading where required Doesn't sound too bad...depends on how many sq/m you're doing. We had 150m laid at $18/m. Beading and edging included (had minimal beading anyway) Then had the 2nd fix carpenter back for a day to re-fit skirts & other bits and pieces for about $350 Re: Bamboo Flooring and Timber Flooring 120Apr 15, 2013 8:34 pm Rowena jims2020 Rowena Love our bamboo floorboards, but they creak. Way more than they used to. Flooring company was due out last week to have a look at them, but he didn't show. Despite the creaking sounds, they look fabulous hey which company did the installation for you ? Was it Bamboo and Timber Select ? Melbourne Floor Direct. The company were easy to deal with and hassle free. re: creaking. They are coming around soon to have a squiz at the creaks. I wouldn't go with BTS if you paid me. The salesman were soooo rude and I told them so. I'd rather give my money to someone who deserves it. Did Melbourne Floor direct ever come out and fix your floors? We had spotted gum engineered floorboards installed. Less than one month after install the boards started to warp. We were told over the phone that it was sun damage?! We always have blinds down on hot days and surely a product sold for use in Australia can withstand the sun for more than a few weeks! As the weeks progressed more problems started coming up including gaps, creaking, and even boards splitting down the middle. It took many phone calls and months for them to come out for an inspection. He was half an hour late and didn't even look at all the boards. Five months later and still no apology and certainly no resolution. Every time I look at the floors or feel the boards creaking I feel like crying. It was so much money. I wish I never walked into their showroom. Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15886 Staircases and sausages. From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2862 |
