Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Mar 07, 2011 8:31 pm Hi I went carpet shopping today for our master, study and some edged pieces to use in the kids bedrooms) and have decided on SDN (north facing window and young kids) Wanting a grey gave me limited choice. I have narrowed it down to two: Godfrey Hirst Atlanta textured loop pile and Superior weave in a cut pile One shop keeper mentioned that the textured carpets can be harder to clean as dirt and stuff gets caught in the texture. Is this true? Will textured carpet date? Is there anything else I should know about either of these types of carpet? thanks Donna Re: carpet questions 2Mar 10, 2011 6:08 pm Godfrey Hirst Atlanta textured loop pile, we sell that at Carpet Court where I work, nice carpet! OK…..first tip, if you are heading down the path with a textured carpet, you need a good vacuum cleaner. Yes the pile is tough, but…..that’s what makes a good long life carpet. I personally love the structured/textured carpets; I’m selling one to a lady at the moment that is $380 a L/M…reeks of nothing but class! By the way….everything will date, don’t let that worry you, if you like it, get it.
