Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Feb 24, 2011 4:17 pm Hi all, We're just about ready to sign with BB (to build the Stoneleigh) but I'm wanting to factor in some flooring upgrades to the budget we're allowing ourselves. Can anyone give me an idea of the range and quality of the basic category of floor tiles and carpets, and what the approximate price increases are as you go up the categories? Ideally I'd like the largest floor tiles we can afford in a darkish colour, matte finish. With carpet, I want something neutral, and am happy to use basic carpet with upgraded underlay. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks, brom Re: Burbank Colour Selections - Tiles and Carpets 2Mar 13, 2011 3:55 pm Hi Brom, We're doing all timber downstairs and carpet upstairs, but we are doing it ourselves after handover - except the laundry/powder/bathrooms which Burbank are tiling. We can get a really high quality product for about the same price as the ranges on offer at The Edge. So we are happy to trade off a week's laying after handover to get exactly what we want. Might be worth pricing some things up externally before you go to The Edge to see what compares - we found the tile range at the Edge had lots of beigey options, but not a lot of variation with charcoal/grey/darker tones. It might be different now though. Good luck!
