BMP, i agree with Matt, and you might be surprised tha a smaller business can do it before Christmas if they have the rolls in stock... Most people plan months in advance - like you did for floor coverings, not many want it right here and now.

Hey i just thought of something else, why don't you ring the manufacturer directly and find out if they can get the stock to the Carpet Call store??? You never know your luck or even ask if they know who else carries stock of the carpet etc you are after and take your business there. Hopefully for a better price....

Negotiate and tell them they can have the job if they can match/beat the price and can have it down before Christmas.

Good Luck, get your money back from Carpet Call and tell them where to stick their business....

Carpet One told us that a lot of the big flooring companies stock the same carpets, they just give them different names. I agree that you should contact the manufacturer and ask who else stocks it and what it's called in their shop. Then you can just ring around and not have to worry about choosing all your colours again.

They are in SOOOO much trouble now.

Am tempted to pull out but why not cause trouble and demand a discount? We did HEAPS of research before we started and they were the best and cheapest. We got timber floors and carpet for our entire home under $10K. Which was better than anyone else could offer. We didn't want the timber look or the builders carpet so the price was good for what we are getting.

They are calling in one hour - will let you know.

just a really busy day. We have picked another colour and it will be laid on Monday as planned - no extra price difference.

Too tired to argue because the supervisor just said that they could do with another week to get the house ready. Which means there is going to be a lot that needs doing when we get to handover on Friday. We don't want to pay for a house that isn't finished but since we are all set to move in that day......

Well done bmp, as long as you are happy!!!! A win-win situation.

Make sure you post some pics when its laid... lot of us sticky beaks waiting to see it...
