I was told that Laminate is easier to maintain than timber...e.g. it would get scratched easily...Also I don't need to worry about water, expansion etc...Is this true? So you guys would recommend laminate as well?? 2. I wanted to get the good quality laminate, any brand suggestion - I heard Quick-step is good...? ...any idea where I can find them? For a rental situation, I would recommend trying Allure. It's a floating PVC floor. Looks and feels like a laminate/timber floor but is easier to install, doesn't require glue or underlay an is waterproof as it's made from PVC not wood. You can get it from your local HN store. It's pretty cool. Save you a bit in being able to lay it yourself too as it is SO Easy to lay (ruler and knife needed, that's it!!). Anthony Thank you. That is really helpful.
