I was advised would only need foam underlay as they are thicker and wont have that echoey clicky sound (ones in current house are 8mm and very echoey). But Hubby wants to pay the extra $425 and have soundproof underlay too. Would love to hear what you think about them once you can walk around on them Re: pics - floor going in 22Oct 05, 2010 12:30 pm Hi leanne, I have never heard of Amazon brand of 12mm laminate, I wonder if they are available in Victoria, has anyone heard of them? The long planks in a high gloss were pioneered by HN in Australia and the original range is called Timber Impressions. They come 2.26mtrs long and the colours are; Pacific Walnut, Royal Cherry, River Birch, Brushbox, Spotted Gum, Pecan Walnut and African Cherry. 30 year warranty. With a bit of negotiating, you'll be able to meet or better those price points and buy the original and proven quality floor, rather than the new unproven brands that pop ip every week (the Aussie dollar is high so lots of wanna be importers are flooding the market with cheap quality stuff at the moment, but when the exchange rate changes they close up shop and are gone, along with the warranty! Never to be seen again.) Re: pics - floor going in 29Dec 20, 2010 11:39 am anthony_carter Your floor looks great.
