Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Sep 24, 2010 3:33 pm My partner and I are building the Infiniti by Commodore homes, we have made a couple of variations in our pre start which up until about an hour ago we thought were covered by the building loan from the bank, we have now received notice that the bank will not cover the cost of our variations - for a number of reasons. One of the biggest variations was changing from the vinyl, which was included in the package, to tiles throughout all living areas. Being that the bank is not going to cover this, we are thinking of trying to switch back to vinyl, but wanted people's thoughts on the look of vinyl in a brand new house, what styles people have gone with and if you are happy with it? I am not too thrilled with the idea, but if it is going to save me $6k then I'm willing to have a look, and possibly change them further down the track. Any advice, tips etc would be great - need a bit of reassurance that its all going to be OK! The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home...
