Director of the company (builder) went on holidays so they postponed the VCAT hearing - it's now this week instead of last month. Will let you know the outcome - should be interesting. The carpet just looks worse and worse every week! Re: Carpet issues - advice needed! 42Mar 25, 2011 7:23 pm VCAT hearing today - we were awarded the cost of the carpet, underlay, and tacking strips etc. to be replaced in all rooms (rumpus, Bed 2, Bed 3, Bed 4, hall, sitting/lounge, and theatre) except main bedroom, also for the cost of uptake and removal of old carpet, and for the removing and replacing our furniture.
We also were awarded the claim we made against Prostruct for an interal wall not built to plan (approx. 50 per cent variation to plan). Very happy with the decision, and glad it's finally over after so long. Thanks everyone!
