Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Sep 03, 2010 9:25 am hey guys just after some advice was wondering if the chipboard floor will need a sand b4 the floating blackbutt floor is installed. A mate ex-carpet guy saw it and said yes, flooring guy said prob not (he hasnt seen it). Flooring guy even said the big hole ( that a fist or 2 can fit in ) should be ok. He seems to be more worried about the floor not being any more than 2mm out. He said the underlay is 2mm then the floating floor sits on top. Anyways, here are some pics. I desperately want to get my heating/cooling ducts cleaned after all the dusty work we have had done, but if we need a sand i will wait till that is done first. thanks !
