Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Aug 17, 2010 7:02 pm We have been upgraded on our underlay to Dunlop supergreen and am just wondering if anyone knows whether this is a decent option? The technical specifications are: density 69kg;m3, thickness 10.0mm+/-0.3; and made from high density rebonded polyurethane foam. Thank you! Re: Dunlop supergreen underlay - any information? 2Aug 18, 2010 5:57 am With being nice about it, ummm, it's not an upgrade. Well, not unless the 1st underlay was Standard Foam / carpetmate. Basically, it's thick and has low density. So it has high apparent value, but in reality it is still very much a budget underlay. It's not that the carpet retailer has done anything terrible (Ash will be having a heart attack with those specs though), as it would cost him a smig more than a basic underlay but a "true" upgrade would have been onto a denser product. Thicker is not always better with underlay. Hi l plan to install a self adhesive vinyl plank floor. l first need to attach masonite boards underlay to by plywood subfloor of my house. What size nails and how many… 0 6490 Jimbo73 I would use heaps of adhesive on each sheet and screw rather than nail. use as many as you like cheers Simeon 1 3313 0 2181 |
