But really interested to know if someone has opinion, whether it'd better to seal the concrete with waterproofing agent first, just to make sure moisture doesn't go up? Or will this make things worse (not really sure if there's any unwanted side effect, but just wondering why not so many people wants to do that - apart from cost, obviously). Thanks. Re: Is it better to seal concrete floor before laying lamina 3Aug 13, 2010 4:54 pm Beg to differ^^ If the barrier is not stuck to the floor there will be a small air gap, if moisure comes from the slab it may go mouldy between the barrier and the slab... might be a small chance but for the cost of a few dollars a mtr it might be a good idea to seal.
