There are a few extras that we did - love jobs (I will be asking for a session or two from a Master ) It is ya standard grey concrete, honed prior to building and polished after framing and before sheeting/plastering. We didn't pour this slab the photo was taken to show a blemish or 'character' There is a boot mark that has been filled with slurry during the placement/screeding process and not aggregate and a screedline tamp along the window frame... Where you are coming from is where you are going to... 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer.
