I suppose that if you are gluing or nailing the flooring to the slab or whatever it is you are laying it on, the quad shouldn't need nailing too, should it? Not sure on that one, as we have not laid our floor yet....
There are plenty of people on here that will be able to advise you though.

Agreed with the last two replies, just stick to nails only. Glue would be quite messy and you will find that the walls are not dead straight so nailing will allow you to 'pull in' the quad as needed.
I would recommend that you pre-drill all the nail holes and have a good nail punch to punch the nails down. You can putty over the nails holes and stain the putty afterwards.
If you haven't tought of about it, I found it easier to pre-stain all of the quad before installing.
