We are building a new home and are looking for a good concrete company that will allow us to pick the aggregate and concrete for the mix (foundation). We would like to use Brighton lite + white marble or quartz (3-6 mm) + obsidian stencilled on the top.
An Adelaide based company would be best to reduce interstate travel.
There are many UK and US sites on the net that do great polished concrete products, but very little information on Australian based companies. Boralstone is one option but it is expensive and we are not sure of the results. We are planning on an exposed aggregate finish for the lower level to enhance thermal properties of our house.
Has anyone tried to design their own aggregate mix for their foundation and what was the outcome?
