Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 May 15, 2010 6:44 pm Allure has been in Australia now for a few years. It is a floating PVC plank. In June, allure gets a few extra ranges. Allure Garage, designed so tough you can put it in your garage, drive your car on it, spill oil on it etc, and when you move your car out you'll have an additional room in your house ! Checkerplate steel etc. Dozens of designs and colours. Allure Boutique is a range of designer styles, if you are searching for something a bit different and contemporary. Allure Stone , well that says it , it's slabs of Mable, granite etc. Anyway, pretty cool stuff. We have been waiting for ages and it's just around the corner now. It's going crazy in the States so i am sure these new ranges will interest many Aussies too !!! Re: New Product hitting the market in June !!!! 2Jun 26, 2010 5:17 pm Just went to Carpet Choice this morning and found a similar product called Luxe plank by Armstrong. Its vinyl planks that "float" (stick to each other rather than to the substrate floor). Apparently more forgiving for any unevenness etc in the substrate and of course its so cheap being DIY! Here's a link to the product (there's 3 Luxe planks rated Good, Better and Best which has a lifetime warranty!) http://www.armstrong-aust.com.au/resflr ... -good.html Re: New Product hitting the market in June !!!! 3Jun 26, 2010 10:08 pm If you compare the original Allure and that product you will see the difference. It's like chalk and cheese. Armstrong normally have good product. Not sure what made them try to copy Allure with such a cheap copy. Trust me. Compare the two. For only a couple bucks more you get a far better product . Also you get a Lifetime Warranty on the entire range. Imitations are exactly that.....imitations. Just compare the two grip strips. You'll be shocked when you see what I am talking about.
