Then when the carpets go in they get tucked under the skiting. This gives the neatest look and the full height of your skirting is visible. I have no problem with this [ I use a PS ] , but if the carpet is just kicked in, it is more likely to come off the smoothedge in the future. When the skirting is to the floor, the carpet is held better, as it is jammed between smoothedge and skirting. It will help it stay on the pins. I had new concrete laid, extended the alfresco and had the sidewalks concreted too.
