I wanted to ask anybodies thoughts on Karndean Vinyl flooring. We are thinking of going with a timber look (Aged Kauri from the Van Gogh range). We are almost tempted but are afraid of it looking to much like 'grandma's' lino floors. Should we stick with the tried and true ceramic tiles??? Any ideas... I guess it comes back to weather you want a timber look or a ceramic look. Kardnean is right up there for commercial use, so it will wear well. And NO I don’t think you will be reminded of Grannies kitchen once it is down, only roll vinyls give that feel! Ceramics are good also…..but can crack and chip. Strip vinyl can be replaced if there is damage to any of them, always remember to buy a little more of anything you purchase for the “Just in Case” problems. Go and have a really good look at the Karndean, then tiles……that will help you make your decision.

We saw it down in a display house we really liked and loved the look .... I also found that it was softer underfoot than tiles (which I quite like as I spend a lot of time in my kitchen and plan to spend even more time in my new kitchen) so it will be gentler on the feet and legs ..... Oh and even better is that you can order samples of all the types you are interested in any they'll post them out for free... makes it really easy to see and feel the ones that you like the look of ... helps make the decision making process a bit easier...
