I’ve looked at many species already and noticed that we can mark most if not all of them with my nail. Woven bamboo was probably strongest I’ve seen so far, since it hurt my nail instead . The timber look however, is more appealing for us at the moment but we’re just worried about the durability. I've had 100 year old jarrah with Polyurathane on them and they still marked with shoes and furniture being moved on it. Take it as part of the joys of timber floors - marks and scuffs show thatis a loved house with some real character. and yes soem mark less than others. Bamboo claiming thet are super tough. But you have to love the look of it more than the non marking features of it. Steve Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15905 1000000% definitely add insulation.
