I have been on this subject now for months ,visited 2 flooring companies in the south east of Melbourne (master plus & timberland). The rest are a bit wishy ,washy went it comes to parquetry and prefer to deal with with the strip or engineered stuff. The 2 companies I mentioned above ,other than the salesman's word on how good they are ,I dont know anyone who has used them or anyone who has installed parquetry. Please let me know 1. Your experience with parquetry(good and bad) ,especially with blackbutt .we are going for a busy design its called blackbutt on jarrah.looks stunning on the master plus website. has anyone used 2 kinds of timber for parquetry. 2. A good installer in the south east of melbourne who is reasonable when it comes to price. 3. The 2 I have seen lay parquetry directly on to the slab with a moisture barrier,I was always told a underlay of ply must be laid before laying the timber .whats your view.
