Just a quick question, I have a quote for Victoria Carpets Inspiration (100% wool), 40.5 lineal metres, stairs included with Dunlop Ultimate foam underlay for $9100 fully laid. Just wondering if this quote is within the ballpark and if Victoria Carpets are good? I have read that Excellay is a very good underay and thinner than Ultimate which is 10mm thick. Suggest that Excellay is a better choice than Ultimate. Which area in Perth? If buying wool carpets, there's a good store that has a wide range of quality wool carpets in Osborne Park. I got 5 quotes ranging from $8500-$12,000. I ended up going with carpet court as I felt comfortable with what they had to offer and were pretty helpful without being too over priced. Also, they gave an option of installing either rubber or foam underlay. Some companies pushed one way or the other. I guess it pays to shop around! For reference, this is the Austlii reference.
